The Altar Society will "help serve" a funeral luncheon for the family and friends upon the death of an active parishioner. This would also include parishioners who have moved to a nursing home.
The family MUST contact the President of the Ladies of St. Anne (name and number is on the back of the Sunday bulletin). Please call at least 2-3 days before the funeral. This is necessary in order to prepare the Hall and the food.
The Altar Society will call families from the parish to provide desserts. They will then help to put out the food the family provides, as well as the desserts, coffee and/or tea. They will also make punch if the family brings the ingredients.
The family will provide everything else including: all paper products, plastic cups and silverware, napkins, table coverings (optional), foil, garbage bags (33 gal.), salads, meats, cheeses, bread, butter, condiments, and the punch ingredients, if desired.
A donation is appreciated to help pay for lights, heating/cooling of the Hall.
If a family has a funeral at Holy Rosary Church for a person who is not a parishioner at the time of death, we will serve a luncheon but the family must provide all the food and drinks. The family MUST talk to the Pastor about the use of the Hall 2-3 days prior to the funeral date.
